The Soccer Pathway

From Uncertainty to Ownership: A pathway for serious players pursuing the next level

Players train and compete constantly, yet many still feel unsure what they should focus on to keep improving.
Talent can only take a player so far.
As the game speeds up and the stakes rise, pressure exposes the parts of their game that haven't been developed yet.

What this pathway provides:

Film Study
Players experience guided film breakdown and learn how to study and analyze their own game, developing the skills to recognize what the game is asking of them.

Leadership Framework
Simple, practical tools that help players think clearly, handle pressure and perform with consistency.

Personal Roadmap
A clear weekly plan for training, recovery, strength and film so they know exactly what to work on outside the team environment without feeling overwhelmed.

Why this pathway exists

Club soccer is a massive investment of time, energy, and money.

Families commit thousands of dollars and hundreds of hours each year to training, travel, recruiting and development opportunities, all hoping their player has every chance to grow and reach the next level.

Yet even in good environments, something still feels missing.

Not because people do not care.
But because the system is stretched thin.

Coaches often manage large rosters, multiple teams and limited time, all while balancing their own families and responsibilities. Even great coaches rarely have the margin to provide the deep, individual mentorship each player needs.

So players do what they can.

They train hard. They compete constantly. They show up.

But without a clear path, many start to feel the unseen weight.

  • Fear of failure.

  • Doubt and overthinking.

  • The quiet feeling of not being good enough or not feeling seen.

When a player lacks clarity, they are left to manage everything internally.

Over time, that shapes how they think, prepare, and perform.

This is the problem.

This pathway exists to guide players through the work required to solve it.

How this pathway works

This process starts by slowing things down, getting clear, and building an intentional plan that fits inside a player’s current soccer schedule, not on top of it.

Here’s what each player receives:

Foundation Session (60 minutes)
An onboarding session to clarify the player’s environment, challenges, goals, and schedule, followed by building a personalized development plan together.

Bi-monthly Coaching and Film Sessions (Zoom | Max 3 players)
Two 60-minute sessions focused on film breakdown and leadership coaching. Film is reviewed in advance so the player learns how to see the game clearly and apply those insights directly to training and competition.

Weekly Training Structure
A clear schedule for extra training, recovery, strength, and film study that helps players maximize their time outside the team environment without feeling overwhelmed or overworked.

Club Alignment and Advocacy
Development aligns with the player’s current club environment, or a plan is created together, so everything works alongside the team, not against it.

Ownership Toolkit
Journaling, reflection, and leadership tools that help players organize their thinking, track progress, adjust habits, and take ownership of their development.

Ongoing Support and Accountability
Messaging, check-ins, and guidance between sessions to keep players consistent and supported.

Everything is designed to help players think clearly, train with purpose, and perform with confidence on and off the field.

What this looks like

Here are a few short examples so you can see this work done.

The Investment

Onboarding Foundation Session
$250 one time

Monthly Coaching
$250 per month
3 month commitment

The Small Group Advantage: Sessions are delivered in small working groups of no more than three players.

This preserves depth and focus while creating a shared learning experience where players gain perspective, understand the importance of accountability and learn to live leadership.

Built to help players understand, organize, and take ownership of their entire development on and off the field.
Rather than piecing together film work, extra training, and outside guidance, this pathway connects everything into a clear, intentional approach that fits the player’s real schedule.

Because each session is personally led by me, availability is limited.
When time slots are full, new players are added to a waitlist and brought into coaching as availability opens.

Who you'll be working with

Hi, I’m Brad Dempsey.

I’ve coached and taught athletes from kindergarten through seniors in college, serving as an assistant coach, head coach, athletic director, and leader within youth sports organizations.

In soccer, I’ve seen the game from every angle as a collegiate player, coach, referee, organizational leader, and now as a parent walking through the club environment with my own kids.

Stepping away from coaching teams to follow my kids’ journeys gave me the final lens into the club environment, showing where players and families still need more clarity, guidance, and support.

Since 2019, I’ve focused on helping athletes develop the mental side of the game. Over time, that work evolved into The Soccer Pathway, combining the technical, tactical, and mental pieces of the game into one clear, leadership-based approach.

This pathway exists because of the gap you’re experiencing.

My goal is simple.

Help players think clearly, grow confident, and learn to lead themselves on and off the field.

How to begin

Schedule your 20 minute clarity session (Zoom)

During this session, we’ll clarify your player’s current experience, walk through how The Soccer Pathway works, and decide whether this is the right next step.

If it’s a good fit, we’ll schedule a foundation session and get started.
